Imagine Being a Livestock

One of my friends wrote this and I would like to share it with the rest of the World

Imagine Being a Livestock

Image being trapped in a concentration camp, where someone controls your food, your water, and your movement on the land.

Imagine being a caregiver trapped in a concentration camp with no hospitals left standing and no power or access to medical supplies.

Imagine that the camp is overcrowded and surrounded by fiercely fortified walls and watch towers of the highest order.

Imagine being born into such reality, a homeless orphan deprived of basic human rights and proper education.

Imagine that the camp (your only home) is a testing ground for developing weapons and spyware technologies. As well as drafting strategies for managing an unwanted population.

Imagine living in a concentration camp, being regularly bombarded by hellish fires from above. Rain of bombs, and missiles, and horrible chemicals constantly obliterating your home and burning your lungs, your eyes and your trees.

Imagine the cold dark nights, damp with the smell of blood and death. Imagine your mum’s and your dad’s bodies are torn apart near you and no one is there to hold you.

Imagine trying to find love and connection in a concentration camp, where all your communications are spied on and recorded for profiling, blackmailing and targeting.

Imagine that everything you do is being watched to make sure you remain in a state that is useful for generating profits and maintaining the status quo.

Imagine how you would feel everyday trying to find hope. Imagine what the word peace would mean to you.

Imagine that you survive to adulthood, without any opportunities or skills, and most likely with some physical disability with no adequate care.

Imagine what the impact of living a whole life in a concentration camp would be, on the cultural and social structures, on stability, and community standards.

Imagine what the psychological consequences and the effects on your mental abilities and wellbeing are, after being imprisoned in such a camp for decades, always living in fear, with nowhere to run or hide, like fish in a barrel.

Now, imagine; above all that, being demonised and condemned when you resist, and told to shut up when you scream.

Imagine living in a city where someone kills an average of about 440 members of your community each year for the last 23 years.

Imagine, living in Gaza.

Gaza (45 km^2) is ten times smaller than the Wellington (NZ) area (444 km^2).

Since September 2000, Israel had killed more than 10 thousand Palestinians. (Statistics by: B’tselem بتسيلم בצלם)

(Take a moment to imagine what’s it like)
